PM Kadhimi, Spanish Ambassador underscore Iraq-Spain joint cooperation

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi met the Spanish Ambassador on Monday, discussing bilateral relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Kahimi received Spanish Ambassador to Iraq Pedro Martinez in the Iraqi capital, Kadhimi’s Media office said.

“During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and means to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, especially in the economy, energy, and investment.” The office in a statement said.

The pair stressed, “The importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism and within the framework of constructive cooperation with NATO in the field of advice and training, in a way that enhances the capabilities of the Iraqi security and military forces.” The statement said.
