Iraq generated 9.7$ billion from oil business in August: Ministry

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Oil-rich country Iraq generated 9.7$ billion from the oil business in August, a statistic released by the oil ministry said.

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil declared the total exports and revenues of last August, based on statistics achieved by the state organization for marketing oil (SOMO), saying the total exported crude oil quantities is (101) million, (859) thousand, (528) barrels, with total revenue of (9.784) billion dollars.

The revenue slightly decreased compared to July which was (10.368) billion dollars.

“The total exported crude oil quantities, in last August, from the oil fields in the south and middle of Iraq reached (100) million, (750) thousand barrels,” the ministry said. And “exported quantities from Kirkuk fields through the port of Ceyhan reached (1) million, (109) thousand, (528) barrels,” it added.

Exports daily rate reached (3) million, (286) thousand barrels per day with an average price of (96.05) dollars per barrel, the ministry said citing SOMO’s statistics as saying.
