SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Vim job fair kicked off in Sulaimani on Saturday, at least 1100 job opportunities were provided for youths under an initiative of the Vim Foundation.
In a statement the foundation said, it will organize the Vim Job Fair for two days in Sulaimani, 60 companies will participate in the event providing over 1,100 work opportunities. And it will continue from Sat-Sun 25-26/June/2022.
The fair aimed to help job-seekers through an initiative of Vim, thus seeing itself in making job-finding procedures more effortless, and assisting companies in their growth by finding suitable applicants, according to the statement.
So far, more than 6000 youths applied for job opportunities through Vim’s Initiative.
Thousands of CVs have been created for the applicants by the foundation team as well.
Regarding the Job Fair, speaking at a news conference Kurdistan Region’s deputy the premier Qubad Talabani said, “We support strengthening the private sector in the region”.
“What is so delighting is those youth who are fresh graduates and suffer from lack of experiences, right now they can achieve it easily through such an opportunity, in order to make them able apply for better Jobs” Talabani quoted.
Talabani further stated, “This initiative is leading us to the notion of a suitable person for a suitable place, because it is based on talents and skills of the applicants rather than their social status or having a personal connection with some Party’s officials”.
Except for job Opportunities, numerous Scholarship programs have been announced at the fair by the American Corner staff in Sulaimani, according to a statement from U.S. Consulate General Erbil.
Vim Foundation is an organization that was launched in October of 2019 in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan of Iraq. It is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that pinpoints society’s gaps and fills those gaps through the finest means, takes society into consideration, and acts upon the existing shortcomings.
