SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Journalist Omed Baroshki is due to be released on Monday nearly two years after he was detained in Duhok, according to his lawyer.
Lawyer Bashdar Hassan told Esta Media Network that Baroshki would be released on Monday after remained in jail for a year and seven months.
He was detained in Duhok province in May 2020 after three cases were filed against him by the security institutions and a lawmaker, who later withdrew his complaint.
He was accused of allegedly undermining national security of the Kurdistan Region by the security institutions.
