Kurdistan Region announces 828 new coronavirus cases, 25 deaths

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region registered 828 new COVID-19 cases and 25 deaths on Sunday, said the health ministry.

The Region’s ministry of health said it had recorded 331 cases in Erbil, 138 in Sulaimani, 322 in Duhok and 37 in Halabja.

Eight new deaths were registered in Erbil, seven in Sulaimani, one in Garmian, four in Raparin, three in Duhok and two more in Halabja, the ministry said in a statement.

It added that 440 more patients had recovered from the novel coronavirus in the previous 24 hours.

So far, the Kurdistan Region has recorded 68,872 coronavirus infections, with 2,314 deaths and 40,101 recoveries, according to the health ministry.
