KRG PM visits Belgium to discuss support for Peshmerga

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani visited Belgium on Wednesday on an official visit to discuss further support for Peshmerga forces.

The prime minister will meet Belgian authorities in Brussels, the KRG said in a statement. He will discuss improving relations between the Region and Belgium.

He will also discuss the “continuation of Belgium’s role in the global coalition and help for the Peshmerga forces in the war against terrorism,” the statement read.

Barzani was accompanied by a delegation including Minister of Planning Dara Rashid and head of the department of foreign relations Safeen Dizayee, according to the statement.
