12 patients died from coronavirus in Kurdistan Region: health ministry

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Twelve patients died from coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region on Friday, the ministry of health said, bring the death toll to 3,932.

In a statement, the Region’s health ministry said it had recorded two deaths in Erbil, four in Sulaimani, five in Duhok and one in Garmian.

The ministry further said 952 people had been infected by COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, taking the total to 144,675.

As many as 199 cases were in Erbil, 304 in Sulaimani, 389 in Duhok, 10 in Halabja, 43 in Garmian and seven in Raparin, it added.

Up to 791 patients recovered from the virus, according to the ministry.
