SULAIMANI (ESTA) — An improvised explosive device (IED) on Saturday hit a convoy of U.S. forces in Dhi Qar province, according to Iraqi media.

Shafaq News reported that the attack caused no casualties and that the convoy continued to head toward its destination.

The attack is the latest in a series of attacks on convoys transferring logistical support for the Coalition forces, training the Iraqi security forces to fight Islamic State (ISIS) militants in the country.

The United States blames Iran-backed militias for regular attacks on U.S. facilities and convoys in Iraq.
