SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A high-level delegation from the Kurdistan Region will visit Baghdad on Tuesday for more talks with Iraqi officials about issues between Erbil and Baghdad, a government spokesman said.

Spokesman of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Jotiar Adil said the same delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani would visit Baghdad.

“We hope an agreement on the draft federal budget law will be reached and will be a step to build trust between the parties,” Adil said in a press conference.

The KRG delegation has visited the Iraqi capital several times in the past months to reach an agreement with the federal government and political parties over issues related to budget and oil.

Despite a series of meetings, Erbil and Baghdad have yet to reach a final agreement.
