Iraqi foreign minister visits Saudi Arabia

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday for talks senior officials in the country.

Spokesman of the Iraqi foreign ministry Ahmed al-Sahaf said the minister visited Riyadh at the request of his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

Hussein is expected to discuss with the Saudi prince the latest developments in the region and bilateral relations between both countries, Sahaf said in a statement.

“The two ministers will also discuss the importance of adopting mutual efforts to enhance security and peace in the region.” Sahaf added.

They will also discuss outcomes of meetings of the High Coordination Committee between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, he stated.
