SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Contractor convoys for the U.S.-led Coalition forces were targeted in Babil and Basra provinces on Thursday, national Iraqi news agency reported.

NINA did not give further details about the attacks.

Shafaaq news, meanwhile, reported that an improvised explosive device (IED) hit a convoy for a contractor belonging to the Coalition forces in Babil governorate.

There were no reports of casualties or damages in the explosion, Shafaaq cited a security source as saying.

The attack is the latest in a series of attacks on convoys supplying the Coalition forces, training the Iraqi security forces to fight Islamic State (ISIS) militants in the country.

The United States blames Iran-backed militias for regular attacks on U.S. facilities and convoys in Iraq.
