SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), welcomed Andrew Beasley, British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting emphasized the development of relations and expansion of coordination between the two sides within the framework of protecting the highest interests.
The meeting discussed the general situation in the Kurdistan Region and President Bafel Jalal Talabani presented the policy and strategy of the PUK for all issues and said, “We are moving with national thinking and taking into account the needs of the situation; Discrimination in service delivery and monopoly in management must end.”.
Resolving the issues between Erbil and Baghdad and efforts to reach a positive outcome were another topic of the meeting and both sides agreed that the constitution and genuine partnership should be the basis for resolving the issues and the rights of all parties should be protected.
