KRG deputy premier Qubad Talabani tests positive for COVID-19

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani said on Monday that he had been infected with COVID-19.

Talabani said in a tweet that he had tested positive for the novel coronavirus and that he would self-isolate himself.

“I hope everybody will be safe. Please, continue with protection guidelines,” Talabani tweeted.

As of Sunday, the Kurdistan Region has recorded 104,402 cases of the coronavirus, with 3,424 deaths and 79,970 recoveries, according to the health ministry.
