SULAIMANI – (ESTA) “It is far from the truth,” the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) stated in a statement regarding the printing of 100,000 Iraqi dinars.
Following the social media release of a photo of the late Iraqi architect Zaha Hadidi, the CBI declined to print another 100,000 dinars note on Sunday.
The central bank emphasized that there are currently no plans to issue new money and that anyone found in violation will face legal consequences. The bank also asked the public to exercise caution and avoid dealing with anyone who could try to sell it for fraudulent purposes.
