SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani, the president of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) will arrive in Tehran to attend the funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his entourage.
On Monday morning, Mohsen Mansouri, director of the presidential office, announced the helicopter crash and the deaths of Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation after they disappeared for more than 18 hours.
Meanwhile, according to Article 131 of the Iranian constitution, which states that “after the disappearance or illness of the president, his powers shall be transferred to the first vice president with the consent of the leader,” Vice President Mohammad Mokhbir was officially appointed.
