SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani, the president of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), delivered a short message at the Golden Bla Awards ceremony and said, “We are Kurds and we will always be Kurds.”.
In his message, the PUK President said, “I congratulate the Ibrahim Ahmad Foundation, and I have a proposal to give the Golden Award for 2025 to martyr Abdo, which is support for all our Kurdish brothers and sisters in Syria; we are Kurds and we will remain Kurds.”.
The Golden Bla Award is held annually on the occasion of the death of Ibrahim Ahmad, an intellectual, writer and political activist. It is awarded to exemplary people such as writers, language defenders, judges, researchers, activists, academics, and friends of Kurds.
In 2001, the Ibrahim Ahmad Organization was established, which annually presents the Bla Award to prominent and successful personalities.
