SULAIMANI – (Esta) “More than 800 candidates have registered for the Kurdistan regional parliamentary election,” the spokeswoman of the Independent High Election Commission said.
Jumana al-Ghalai,the spokeswoman of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) ,has announced, “The number of candidates for the upcoming general parliamentary election has reached more than 800”.
“The Candidates Affairs Department is currently working on verifying the information in the Election Commission and then sending it to the relevant parties to investigate the eligibility of the candidates,” she said.
The Kurdistan general parliamentary election is set for June 10; in this regard, the IHEC is preparing for its conduct and implementation.
