Senior KRG delegation arrives in Baghdad to meet Prime Minister

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A senior delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) arrived in Baghdad on Thursday morning.

The delegation is led by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and his Deputy Quabd Talabani. They are set to meet with Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani.

The two sides are expected to hold talks regarding the current disputes between Erbil and Baghdad, which are specifically centered on budgetary allocations.

“The KRG is committed to the agreement with Baghdad,” Peshawa Hawrami, the KRG spokesman on Wednesday said. “The KRG wants to reach a conclusion with Baghdad,” he added.
