Mixing people’s livelihood with political conflicts is unacceptable, says PUK President

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Wednesday stated that mixing the people’s livelihood with the political conflicts is unacceptable.

Talabani’s words came amid a meeting with the head of Iraq’s Al-Azim alliance, Muthana al-Samrai, in Baghdad.

In the meeting, the pair stressed resolving issues between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad and succeeding in the political process in the country.

“We stress commitments to the constitution and safeguarding the rights of all Iraqi nations,” Talabani said, according to a statement posted on his Facebook page.

“Mixing the people’s livelihood with the political conflicts is unacceptable, securing a decent life for our people must be our priority,” he added.
