PUK President says we don’t want people’s livelihood to be mixed with political conflicts

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Wednesday said that they do not want the people’s livelihood to be mixed with the political conflicts.

Talabani’s words came amid a meeting with Iraq’s President Latish Rashid at the Presidential palace in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

They also discussed the latest political changes and stressed the national endeavors to resolve Erbil-Baghdad issues, as well as disagreements.

“The PUK is a responsible party toward the lives of the Kurdish people,” Talabani stated.

“Our efforts will continue for the sake of achieving the legal and constitutional rights,” he said.

“We don’t want the people’s livelihood to be mixed with the political conflicts,” he added.
