SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Tuesday received Iraq’s Defense Minister Muhammed Al-Abasi in Baghdad.
In a meeting, Talabani and the Minister discussed the security situation of the country and cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi forces.
They also laid emphasis on expanding the support for the sake of maintaining stability and security.
In the meantime, PUK’s Talabani pointed out the importance of joint military and intelligence actions the two sides.
“Protecting the region and combating terrorism is the duty of all sides,” he said.
“Strengthening the relations and expanding the coordination between our forces is the stage’s vital necessity,” he added.
