SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Sunday carried out a series of meetings with Kurdish political parties in light of recent developments.
Talabani has made a visit to the headquarters of the Change Movement (Gorran) in Sulaimani City.
“It was a friendly visit to strengthen the PUK-Gorran relationships,” a senior Gorran member told Esta Media Network reporter.
“We also discussed several ongoing issues, with an attempt to bring our views closer,” he said.
In the meantime, Talabani visited the headquarters of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU). He was received by KIU leader Salahdin Bahadin and a high-ranking delegation.
PUK’s Talabani discussed the Kurdistan Region’s situation with the KIU senior members, according to information obtained by Esta.
They also stressed on strengthening the bilateral ties.
Talabani later departed Sulaimani City to Erbil and met with the leader of the Kurdistan Justice Group (KJG), Ali Bapeer.
Esta has learned that the talks were focused on the ties between PUK and the KJG, and the best way to strengthen them.
