60 Kurdish migrants rescued en route from Turkey to Greece

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — 60 Kurdish migrants were rescued on Monday after their boat was stranded for hours in the Aegean Sea en route from Turkey to Greece, according to information obtained by Esta Media Network.

All of the passengers on board were Kurdish. Among them, women and children included, Esta has learned.

At least 596,273 Iraqis including people from the Kurdistan Region have migrated between 2015 and 2020, of which 251 had died and 173 have gone missing, according to the Lutka foundation which is a refugee watchdog.
