Four arrested, attempting to cheat during high school ministerial exams – police

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Sulaimani police said it had arrested four suspects who had exam cheating gadgets during the Ministerial Exams.

Sulaimani police said it had arrested four people who had several exam cheating gadgets, including handheld radios and phones, attempting to cheat at the exams, according to a statement on Sunday.

On June 3rd, twelfth-grade ministerial exams kicked off in the Kurdistan Region with over 117,000 students participating in the process for the scientific, literary, and vocational schools.

Government decided to suspend internet services suspended temporarily from 6:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. during the process to prevent the exams’ questions leak, ensuring a fair and equal process.

At least four bands who claimed to possess “leaked” exam questions have been arrested and charged with fraud. One of them was sentenced to three years in prison in early June, according to the director of Sulaimani Education.
