SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Police on Friday charged a woman in Sulaimani’s Kalar district for stabbing his husband to death, according to a statement.
Earlier last night police received a report on a murder incident in Kalar, where the body of a man was found at a crime scene.
It said in a statement that a woman stabbed his husband to death following an argument at their house.
Police quickly detained the victim’s brother-in-law, as well as one of his daughters.
The woman pleaded guilty to police that she had knifed his husband seven times after they had an argument, according to the statement.
Police added that the investigations are still underway and the suspects have been charged per Article 11 of the Iraqi penal code.
