SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani received Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari on Thursday.
The pair discussed the latest developments, as well as collaborations between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad, according to a statement released by Talabani’s office.
They also emphasized further collaboration, particularly in terms of security in the frontiers between the Region’s security forces and the Iraqi forces.
In the meantime, the two officials talked about collaborations between the internal forces concerning extraditing suspects and outlaws between Baghdad and Erbil.
“We are ready to offer any support,” Talabani told the Iraqi official, according to the statement.
“Criminals should not be allowed to escape justice whether they are in Iraq or the Kurdistan Region,” He added.
