Information Agency Director reiterates commitment to maintaining public’s interest

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Director of the Kurdistan Region’s Information and Protection/Information Agency, Jalal Sheikh Naji, on Monday, reiterated his commitment to stop any illegal acts that harm the public’s interest, according to a statement.

Naji met with the Head of the Security Service (Asayish), Hiwa Ahmed earlier yesterday, a statement released by his press office announced.

It stated that the two sides discussed security and intelligence coordination to maintain the Region’s tranquility, stressing to expand cooperation between the two agencies.

The officials also shed light on the security and military measures within the boundaries of the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing implementing instructions to protect people’s lives and stop any illegal acts against national security.

In the meantime, Sheikh Naji coordination reiterated commitments to “forcefully” combat the remnants of the Islamic State (ISIS) militants and outlaws.
