SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Monday extended his heartfelt congratulations on the 61st foundation anniversary of the Kurdistan Teachers’ Union.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to Kurdistan teachers, including the head and secretariat members of the Teachers Union on its foundation anniversary,” Talabani said.
Talabani reiterated that Kurdistan teachers have always played the leading role in the all different stations of the Kurdish people, and led the education of different generations.
“Kurdistan Teachers have played a heroic role amidst revolutions, including armed struggles,” He said.
“I extend my warmest greetings to the teacher who did not neglect the education process in times of difficulties,” He added.
“The PUK has always backed the teachers and will continue on this sacred duty.”
Talabani also pointed out that the PUK will offer further support and coordinate with teachers in the new academic year, stressing to be loyal to their devotions
