SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani on Monday announced he had discussed threats and opportunities facing Kurdistan and Iraq with the French Consul General in Erbil.
The Kurdish official received the French diplomat in the city of Erbil at the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) politburo headquarters, according to Talabani’s tweeter account.
Talabani further added in the tweet they had agreed with the French diplomat that “resolving internal issues and improving our relations with Baghdad are key to strengthen the Kurdistan Region, accelerate economic growth, and provide better services to the public.”
