SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The body of a young man was retrieved from Darbandikhan Lake after nearly two weeks of vanishing deep in the lake, civil defense teams said on Tuesday.
On Mar. 21 this year, three young men reportedly went on vacation to Darbandikhan Lake, where they sailed a small boat for fish hunting.
The young men’s boat capsized in the lake, according to preliminary reports.
The incident led to the vanishing of one of the young men, who went missing for nearly two weeks while his fellows survived immediately.
The body of the vanished one who had been drowned in the lake was finally discovered by the civil defense teams amid long-running search operations.
Police investigations are still underway. The fellows of the demised person were detained by police following the incident.
