SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani on Saturday received British Ambassador Mark Bryson-Richardson in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
The meeting covered various issues and files related to enhancing cooperation between the two countries, a statement released by Sudani’s office said.
The two sides stressed continuing constructive cooperation, supporting the Iraqi government’s efforts in reform, development, and security, and opening new paths to develop the level of relations between the two countries at various levels, it added.
During the meeting, PM Sudani and Ambassador Bryson-Richardson highlighted enhancing cooperation in various fields, including security, economic development, and political reform.
They discussed the challenges that Iraq is facing, particularly in the security and political arenas.
The British Ambassador reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to supporting the Iraqi government in addressing these challenges.
