Man’s body found burned in Duhok, police say

SULAIMANI (ESTA) —  A body of an unidentified man was found burned in Duhok province, police announced in a statement late Friday.

“The discovery was made around evening hours in a village in Duhok’s Sheikhan sub-district after receiving reports from locals,” the spokesperson to Duhok police, Hemn Sleman, said in the statement.

Duhok police are investigating to identify the identity of the dead body and to reach the cause of the incident, he added.

So far the police could not identify the dead body due to severe burns, and the body has still remained in forensic medicine, according to Sleman’s words.
