PUK president reiterates keenness for Kurdistan-Baghdad agreement

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President, Bafel Talabani, met with the Secretary-General of Asa’aib Ahl Al-Haq, Qais Khazali, and reiterated the PUK’s keenness to reach lasting agreement on Kurdistan-Baghdad issues.

Talabani and Khazali met in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Monday, to discuss the latest developments and political changes.

The pair emphasized the endurance of the national efforts to succeed in the Iraqi government agenda, aiming at overcoming the problems and obstacles.

The Kurdish leader reiterated the PUK’s keenness to endure the responsible national dialogue between the parties, particularly on Kurdistan-Baghdad issues, and reach a lasting agreement that secures the constitutional rights of all sides.
