PUK President, Head of Iraqi National Security Agency meet in Sulaimani

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President, Bafel Talabani, received the head of the Iraqi National Security Agency, Hamid Al-Shatri, in Dabashan area of Sulaimani city on Sunday.

“In a meeting attended by officials from Kurdistan security agencies including the director of Kurdistan’s information agency, Jalal Sheikh Naji, Iraq-Kurdistan military coordination and security situation were discussed,” read a statement from the media office of Talabani.

“They stressed enhancing the military, intelligence, and security relations as major factors to protect the stability and encountering any threats that jeopardize the people’s life and tranquility,” it added.

Moreover, “President Talabani importantly referred the joint military conducts between Kurdistan and Baghdad security agencies,” adding “The recent coordination had positive results, therefore, in the future, we must continue with the same spirit to encounter the threats,” Talabani said, according to the statement.
