CTG says it arrested Baghdad-based suspect in Sulaimani wanted by court

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A Baghdad-based suspect wanted by the court was arrested in Sulaimani following a joint operation between the Counter-Terrorism units, according to a statement on Sunday.

The Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) forces based on intelligence information arrested a Baghdad-based suspect.

The suspect was arrested following a joint operation with the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism service, CTG added said in a statement.

It also stated that the suspect was charged with article four of terrorism. Later, he had been handed to related authorities for prosecution.

Kurdistan’s CTG and ICTS have increased their coordination and joint operations, aiming to bring outlaws to justice across Iraq.

Last Tuesday, The Kurdish CTG forces in collaboration with the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism service arrested a suspect in Kalar district of Sulaimani province over terrorism charges
