PUK receives key post in Federal government

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) received a key post in the Federal government, Esta Media Network has learned. 

The deputy of Iraqi Prime Minister appointed Eizat Sabeer as the deputy minister of oil and gas affairs in the Federal government, according to information Esta has obtained.

The PUK received two ministries, the ministry of justice, and the environment in the Federal government following the formation of the new Iraqi government in October last year.

Sabeer is a senior member of the PUK and specialized in the economy. He is a member of the PUK leadership as well. His appointment as the deputy of minister marks the third senior post held by the PUK in Baghdad in the incumbent Iraqi cabinet.
