Deputy prime minister, UAE deputy consul general meet, discuss investment in agriculture

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) deputy prime minister and the United Arab Emirates deputy consul general met on Monday in Erbil.

Accompanied by the KRG minister of agriculture, the deputy prime minister and the UAE diplomat held talks on the agriculture sector of the Kurdistan Region.

The deputy prime minister said that one of their priorities is improving the agriculture sector to be a means of revenue generating.

He also hoped the Kurdistan Region agriculture section to be a resource for providing job opportunities, according to a Facebook post via the deputy prime minister’s page.

Moreover, Talabani and the deputy consul general discussed the ways of the Kurdistan Region to benefit from the UAE’s experience in the agriculture section.

The deputy prime minister also told the diplomat to they will offer facilitation to the UAE for investment in the Region, particularly in the sectors of agriculture, food security, and livestock ranching.
