PUK governmental team names KRG’s ninth cabinet ‘worst’ in history

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The head and the team of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) governmental team in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) released a statement on Sunday.

The statement named the ninth cabinet of the (KRG) head by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, as the “worst” cabinet throughout the history of Kurdistan.

It also added that the PUK is ready to carry out a clean and pure election with a clean voter list so that the election will secure the rights of different people and components in the Kurdistan Region.

The PUK’s statement came after the Prime Minister’s statement on Sunday .

“The Prime Minister wants to forcibly accuse the PUK and several figures within the PUK,” the statement said regarding the case of the colonel.

“They forgot that it was the PUK that called for a joint investigation and called on the international parties to partake in the investigation since the very beginning of the incident,” the statement added.

The statement further “accused” the KRG for withholding the budget of the Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Group’s budget.

KRG’s “blockade” of Sulaimani Province

The PUK governmental team in the statement has also called upon the Prime Minister’s statement on Sunday, as a statement “full of misleading.”

“The statement has proven that the prime minister does not want to be the premier of the whole Kurdistan,” it said regarding Prime Minister Masrour Barzani’s statement.

“With the language of data and number we can announce that the KRG has systematically put Sulaimani under blockade.”

Oil Revenue of the Kurdistan Region

The PUK team further stated that “Every single individual knows that the biggest problem of the Kurdistan Region is the oil revenue, not only the domestic revenue.”

It also “accused” the prime minister of victimizing the Kurdistan Region for adopting an “intransparent” and “unclear” financial policy in the oil revenue.
