SULAIMANI (ESTA) — President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Bafel Talabani, on Saturday, congratulated the Kakai (Yarsan) community as they celebrate Qawltas festival.
Talabani in a statement extended his “warmest” congratulations to the Kakai community on the occasion of Qawltas festival.
“I warmly congratulate my Kakai brothers and sisters and hope you spend this occasion in joy and happiness,” said Talabani.
“The Kakais were an important component and a great example of the deepening the spirit of harmony and coexistence in Kurdistan,” Talabani added in the statement.
Moreover, the President stressed that the PUK respects the history and struggle of the Kakais and will always defend their rights.
