Kurdistan Region exports climbed in 2022 – data

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region export volume increased in 2022 compared to 2021, data from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Ministry of commerce and industry have shown.

The Region’s export in 2022 amounted to $672 million, while also the import stood at $15 billion.

“The main goods exported by the Kurdistan Region in 2022 are minerals, pomegranates, tomato paste, tahin, various pastes, chicks, and parts of scrapped vehicles,” said the General Director of Commerce in the Ministry, Nawzad Sheikh Kamil on Monday.
