SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi Shiite Cleric Muqtada al-Sadr Thursday revealed that he will collect millions of signatures to stand against the “LGBTQ” community in Iraq.

The state-owned Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that Sadr intends to collect millions of signatures “in support of the fight against the LGBTQ community.”

The Sadr’s campaign against the people perceived to be “LGBTQ” will commence Friday as he will also supervise Friday Muslim prayers in full coordination with his Office, “as a first stage”, according to INA.

In the meantime, all of the Sadrist movement members must partake the campaign, and he noted that the collection of signatures starts this Friday and lasts until the last Friday of December this year.
