SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkey’s state media Anadolu Agency on Saturday said Turkish forces “neutralized” two YPG/PKK terrorists in Syria.

Citing a statement from the National Defense Ministry of Turkey Anadolu said the militants were neutralized amid the operation “Peace Spring” in the north of the country.

Turkey uses the “neutralize” term for targets who have been killed, wounded, or captured. Both the PKK and YPG have yet to comment regarding the words from Ankara.

Turkey’s military has carried out three cross-border operations since 2016 against the YPG in Syria and frequently detains people domestically for alleged links to the PKK.
