SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) will separately meet with the officials from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and Change Movement (Gorran) in Sulaimani on Sunday, a Gorran spokesman said.
Change Movement’s National Assembly held a meeting on Saturday to discuss the current situation in the Kurdistan Region, including recent protests in Sulaimani city.
Following the meeting, Gorran Spokesman Adnan Othman said in a press conference that the KDP delegation’s visit to Sulaimani would be preparation for a tripartite meeting between the three parties in the future.
“A KDP delegation will visit Sulaimani on Sunday to meet the PUK and Gorran, and that will be preparation for tripartite meeting between us,” Othman said.
“The parties should meet to set up a strategy … to [help] reform progress. They should solve the people’s issues,” he added.
“We hope the tripartite meeting will be a series one and point finger on all the issues.”
Earlier on Saturday, organizer of Gorran’s journalism chamber Dler Abdulkhaliq said the three parties would hold a tripartite meeting over the coming days.
