SULAIMANI (ESTA) — President of The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Bafel Talabani on Saturday received Head of al-Azim alliance Muthana al-Samarai and Secretary-General of the Babylon movement Rayan al-Kildani in Baghdad.
President of the PUK Bafel Talabani who is in the Iraqi capital, leading a high-level PUK delegation, wants to conduct several “crucial” political meetings there, his office in a statement said.
First, in a meeting with Samari and Kildani Talabani discussed the latest political changes, unifying efforts to resolve the problems. Discussions focused on reaching a national agreement, according to his office.
The trilateral meeting emphasized providing suitable ground for constructive dialogue, all sides agreed on that matter to pass the ongoing political deadlock situation and fulfilling the high objectives for sake of both stability and the future of the country.
PUK President explained his party’s enthusiasm to resolve the problems and dismount the tensions.
“Our all efforts are for integrating the political forces for the future of the country,” Talabani said, according to the statement.
“It’s the duty of all sides to act responsibly, not risk the future of the country, and consider the high interests,” Talabani added.
Talabani also insisted that the life of the people should not be sacrificed for political disputes.
Apart from this, President Talabani met Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Falih al-Fayadh as well.
Talabani and Fayadh’s meeting elaborated on the efforts to carry out a fruitful dialogue between all political forces for sake of overcoming the obstacles.
“Since the beginning we called for dialogue and understanding, deeming them as the key solution to the problems,” Talabani told Fayadh, adding, “The recent events were the result of avoiding dialogue, compromise, and real partnership.”
“All sides must have the sense of responsibility and that not sacrifice the country for parties’ interests,” he continued
Talabani laid emphasis that the people need service and more stable life, not sitting by and watching the political conflicts.
