Iran-Iraq trading capacity to hit $10 billion in 2022-2023

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iran-Iraq trading capacity is expected to hit $10 billion by the end of this year said the Head of the Iran-based joint commerce chamber on Tuesday.

Semi-official Iranian Meher news agency cited Yahiya Isaac, the Head of the joint commerce chamber of Iran-Iraq as saying, “Diplomacy, as well as the economy, play a major role in all fields.”

“We should make great and effective steps for evolving both sides’ economy and diplomacy on the international stage, for combating the threats and taking the opportunities,” Isaac said.

Isaac called Iran-Iraq relations “strategic”, saying that any threats or opportunities related to both sides’ economy and security are merged together.

He also underlined diplomacy and economy as effective tools “against any states that seek to obstruct Iran or Iraq role”.

“We are expecting the Iran-Iraq trading capacity to reach $10 billion by the end of this year,” He continued. By the end of this year, Isaac means in the Iranian calendar in which March 21 of every year is marking a new.
