Iraq’s investigation court to investigate Nouri al-Maliki’s leaked recorded audio, says judicial council

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraq’s judicial council on Tuesday said it will investigate the leaked recorded audio attributed to Nouri al-Maliki in which he threats Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr.

Several recorded audio has been circulated on social media recently in which Sadr’s political rival Nouri al-Maliki despise Sadr and threats to engage in battle with him.

According to the leaked audio, attributed to the head of the state of law Nouri al-Maliki has made an oath to prevent Sadr’s political project also adding that, the next phase of Iraq would-be fighting.

“Karkh investigation court had received a request from general prosecutor to investigate the leaked audio,” the council in a statement said.

The general prosecutor also demanded to take legal procedures against those leaked recorded audio attributed to the head of the state of law Nouri al-Maliki, according to the statement.

“In accordance with law the judicial council will investigate that case” it added.
