Several gunmen target house of MP from state of law coalition

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — House of the state of law coalition MP came under-fire in Nasiriyah on Tuesday following Sadr’s follower’s demonstrations.

On Tuesday daybreak, the house of MP Mahmood Salami from the Islamic Dawa Party which associates with Nouri al-Maliki’s coalition came under-fire, carried out by several unknown gunmen, according to Iraqi media.

“A pickup vehicle targeted Salami’s house, it only resulted in material damage” Party’s affiliated media said.

Earlier on Monday night Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr’s supporters stormed the streets following the leakage of recorded audios of his political rival Nouri al-Maliki.

According to the leaked audio, attributed to the head of the state of law Nouri al-Maliki has made an oath to prevent Sadr’s political project also adding that, the next phase of Iraq would-be fighting.

However, Nouri al-Maliki keeps denying the originality of the audio noting that they are ‘fabricated’ and ‘baseless’.
