SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A member of the Victory alliance said on Thursday, the Shiite coordination framework has nominated a figure for Iraq’s premiership that would have the approval of every party.
“The negotiations to form the new government cabinet with all of the Iraqi parties are ongoing” Member of the Victory alliance Aqil al-Rdeeni said.
“It decided to form a special committee aimed to draft a program for the next government in order be capable to escape Iraq inside the crisis’s”, and “ the coordination framework negotiations continue with the parties, it wants all of the winners to take part in the government cabinet” he continued.
Since, October 2021 in which the latest parliamentary election was held in Iraq, the Iraqi council of representatives had failed to elect the Prime Minister of the country and begins to establish a new cabinet, mostly it backs to political disagreement between the parties, thus resulting in trapping Iraq inside the longest political stalemate.
Under a power-sharing system designed to avoid sectarian conflict, Iraq’s president is a Kurd, its prime minister a Shia, and its parliament speaker a Sunni.
