Arab teenager drowns in Dukan lake northwest Sulaimani

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A teenager drowned in Dukan’s lake northwest of Sulaimani province, the director of the emergency center told Esta Media Network on Sunday.  

Arab teenager aged 19-year-old who paid a visit to the Kurdistan Region to spend Eid al-Adha holidays was drowned in Dukan’s lake, director of Sulaimani Emregcy Center Saman Nadr told Esta in a statement.

“He was drowned during swimming in the lake”, and “he was from Babil governorate,” Nadr said.

“The teenager body is currently transferred from Dukan’s health to Sulaiamni forensics medicine” Nader added.

In the meantime, a 65-year-old man vanished after he fell into Khapur river in Zakho sub-district of Duhok province. A few hours later, authorities confirmed that he was drowned, Esta’s newsman in Duhok reported.
