‘Labor bill’ approved, rights of workers and private sector employees are secured: Qubad Talabani

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — the Kurdistan Region Deputy of Prime Minster Qubad Talabani announced in a statement on Wednesday, that the Region Council of Ministers has approved the ‘labor bill’ and the rights of workers and private sector employees are secured.

The Kurdistan Region Council of Ministers held its regular meeting on Wednesday, it discussed a variety of topics through the council, followingly Talabani said in a statement that the Council has approved the ‘labor bill’. “The approved bill is a contemporary and crucial approach that will more be restoring the economy, market as well as private sector”.

“Gender equality is already considered along with securing labor right and private employees in the bill”, and “It restructured labor contracts with receiving permission, also adolescent and woman rights are reconsidered,” Talabani said in the statement.

It also noted that Talabani was delighted to carry out such a duty with a ministerial team, “I extend my gratitude to the PM’s office and both Ministry of social affairs and planning, for supporting me in preparing the bill”.
